You don't know fuck all about the effort that goes into making a sample cd so stop chatting shit, why bother making a snide remark about money if your not bothered about it? Need some more positive replies on this fucking forum its all negative whining on here these days and its infectious so im off b4 you muppets waste any more of my time lolPVS wrote:did i ever say I had a problem with someone making money? no!rob sparx wrote:What the fuck is ppl's problem with producers actually making money? I would doubt that any sample cd ever put out has been done in less than a month regardless of its quality and a few grand for a months work is hardly selling out is it? Jog on ffsPVS wrote:i'd assumed one of the main reasons to release something like this would be to make money, no? and there's no saying that it takes months to put together, depends on the quality of the samples. but if you prove me wrong and the samples are very high quality and obviously took a long time to make then i'd take back what I said.rob sparx wrote:You can fuck off too, its usually a few grand advance for a sample cd but it can take months to put together how is that "cashing in" exactly?PVS wrote:someone needs the money.....
have you not ever seen a celeb advertising yet another product on tv and thought, oh, someone needs more money again? it's just a saying i use man, no need for all this abuse ahahah. i never yelled "sell out", or any shit like that, just said that he's probs doing it for the money. i never said i had a problem with that fact. i'm not the one who called him an idiot.
i said i'd like to hear them, implying i wasn't completely hating on him, so back off
very good point.NilsFG wrote:You need more than a sample pack to rip off someone's style.Mattron wrote:but..... really, why a sample pack?
so we can have 1,000 kids using it and trying to put out rip offs of Distance tunes?
no thanks.
It's a sample CD so people would have used the samples anyway if they could find them. You could probably produce house using only these samples.Mattron wrote:yeah, and it's not their own style. cool.AxeD wrote:Good stuff, this will probably inspire a lot of producers out there to make some dark tunes.
sample packs don't engage people into making shitty rip-offs, people will do that anyway.Mattron wrote: very good point.
so now this just means, a bunch of kids are gonna be ripping off Distance tunes and they're gonna sound like shit.
dope.
http://www.kmag.co.uk/editorial/musicte ... j-distance scroll down, theres 1 little bit about it but im sure i read another interview about it but im tired and cant be arsed finding itPVS wrote:any chance you got a link? i've tried but can't find it. and as i said, if he is doing this to give people something to build on rather than for the money i'll take back my words.Rekah wrote:go on sparxy you tell them, also why call him for giving something to people to work with, theres an interview with him some where about this try and find it and read it before you start hating

Yeh and the first tune you made was totally your own style and didn't sound like anything else in the world.Mattron wrote:yeah, and it's not their own style. cool.AxeD wrote:Good stuff, this will probably inspire a lot of producers out there to make some dark tunes.
