Yes! A jungle/d&b subforum would be wicked
Of course there is DOA but it seems that more and more producers from this scene are making faster tunes so it would be nice to have a place for discussion in this forum about these tunes, without Q&As getting lost in the main forum.
As far as people not liking the idea, they don't need to be visiting it like most people don't visit the House subforum I believe.
It all started in the Youngsta thread anyway after him playing this d&b special show b2b with Icicle. http://www.dubstepforum.com/dj-youngsta ... -1260.html
So yeah please

I think that starting a fresh would be better,
with DOA it's getting overloaded with people, so people are seeing past what it's all about, the music.
Input was made to support new artists and the scene in general, please join and get posting!

FOR THE PPL SAYING THERES NO POINT COS MOST DNB IS TERRIBLE, I AGREE, BUT ALOT OF DUBSTEP IS TERRIBLE NOWADAYS TOO. I CERTAINLY WOULDNT MIND FILTERING THROUGH SOME BULSHIT DNB ON A SUBFORUM TO FIND SOME NEW INFO ABOUT TRACKS BY PEOPLE LIKE ALIX PEREZ, NOISIA, ICICLE, NEED FOR MIRRORS, ROCKWELL, SPECTRASOUL...

How about a DnB subforum, dedicated to GOOD DnB? betcha didn't think of that one
Most DnB is the same, and garbage, but the same goes with dubstep, and pretty much any musical genre. I agree DOA is a too big, and i don't wanna sift through 15 threads with 30 pages each looking for 1 decent DnB tune, and end up not finding any.

i wish that would work but its not that simple i dont think.
i would love a subforum with just good DnB but it ain't gonna happen haha!

if we try and get as many new people on, who appreciate dnb, then it will a new community, full of decent people who like decent music

Hey man when there's a will there's a way!
I just think that the size and amount of activity on this forum is perfect for a sub-forum with tailored tastes. Plus, from what I've read and seen like 80% the dubstep scene came from DnB/Jungle, so I don't see how they could be unrelated. And the best DnB IMO has those really interesting varied basses, with emphasis on the production value, just like dubstep, but again that's just my opinion.
Site looks fine, if that shit gets rollin with some good tunes i'll join but starting a brand new forum requires a lot of group effort and patience.[/quote]
i'm trying to build it up as much as i can, all i need is new members!
please join and lets get the ball rolling, i reckon it'd be better to start a fresh, because the amount of people here on dubstep forum, it's enviable that pure people will jump on the bandwagon, with all their baggage, and it'll just go like DOA!

and here in lies the problem and why the main board here keeps increasingly going to shit
"just good dnb"
"just good dubstep"
"i don't want to dig for tunes to find good ones"
people's musical opinions are subjective and span a wide range especially when you use broad genre terms that canvas them all
who dictates what's good?
when i want general dnb info i hit up doa
drumfunk, choppage, jungle subvert central
etc etc
all more subforums do is give people more reasons to bitch and bicker back and forth about who's brown nosing what sub style they luke as this forum shows more and more

So you don't think that there's a general attitude here about what's "good" dubstep?

I don't think a dnb sub-forum would hurt anyone. Just like the (funky) house and hip-hop sub-forums aren't hurting anyone.
My proposition: make a temporary one, for one month. After that one month the mods can decide (after examinating it) if the forum stays or goes.
Also the argument that we don't need a dnb sub-forum because it's dubstepforum is stupid, not every member on here listens too 100% dubstep. Plus dsf is more than a forum, it's a community.
And tbh I'd rather chat a bit about dnb on here than on DOA or Drum&BassArena.
