Haven't read the other posts but you might find this useful...

Basically midrange is
louder than bass, due to the way the ear works, especially and low listenign levels, its some proper deep shit.
Want your shit to sound loud (relative)? Use a limiter, probably some compression, but defo make sure you got the right frequencies in there in the right proportions, most shit lacks top and mid. Or its mid focus is around the 1k area rather than the 3khz to 6kh area.
