Was it 'al dente'? better have been, by the way you get no points for saying "OH YEAH AL DENTE, HE'S THE ITALIAN PANEL BEATER"
As an American I'm required to attempt to waste as much energy as possible at all times, thus it was baked in the oven. I believe that would make it 'al forno' yeah?

to be honest i dont hate on rusko as much as I used to. the fact he's on mad decent has really altered my percecption. he's not even bothering to try and operate unter the pretense that his dubstep is still an "underground" sound. He's just going for the whole major lazer party thing. It might not be my perfect kind of music, but fuck does he do it well.

I didnt really did O.M.G!, but he's going for a different market, so respect for that. He does what he does.

There's some pretty deep wobbles going on in there, so I dig it in that regard.

He's becoming the crossover artist. Every genre has one.

This track seems a lot close in viber to say Brittany Spears "toxic" than to Loefah's "goat stare". That being said, Rusko is doing his thing and if thats the route he wants to go, and people are feelin it, then all the power to him.

but i don't think he is catching flack for 'hold on'..? people i've spoken to, and people on this thread, seem to be feeling it more than most of his other electro wobble tunes. i think if he did more soulful, interesting rollers like this people would have a bit more respect for him and feel his music more, but in my opinion most of his tunes for a while now have been lowest common denominator dubstep and are just lazy

I don't think its a bad track, I would listen to it out of choice a few times.. Its something you can just kick back and listen too..Good for background noise.

I agree with whoever said hes not thinking that dubstep is an underground sound anymore and is just doing what he does..

I'm surprised no one has brought up the production he did for M.I.A.'s album

The first is maybe my least favorite track on that album and when she opened with it live here in New York a few weeks ago it was really really awful. Second not my personal favorite, but not terrible. Third is actually kind of interesting and different than what I usually hear from him.

Whoever brought up his affiliation with mad decent is I think exactly right: he's moving away from dubstep, but obviously is still heavily influenced by it. Problem is for my money I'd take diplo > mad decent rusko any day (and, conveniently, diplo produced MIA >>>>> rusko produced MIA).

Rusko contributed a lot to the scene, so I can't really diss the guy for taking the route in which he'll earn more money for himself. I just hope he releases some new material which is similar to the Rusko we all loved..

Hatcha & Plastician were making tunes in the modern mould way before the 3 mentioned above.

I said basically, some of the first tunes i heard where by rusko and benga. Yeh im dont fully know all the earlly producers, however. for alot of people including myself, rusko is the reason i got into dubstep.
