Good work futures. :h: My tip, instead of LFO automation, write notes in the piano roll for better basslines.

hey everyone,
so im fairly new to producing (about 4 months) and i use ableton suite 8. now as for bass synths i can get a pretty exciting sound, but what i need help with is 'grouping' in ableton's operator. if i duplicate it once, it usually sounds pretty good, but when i try to stack another the sound gets muddled. maybe my eq's are not set right? how much should i group one bass midi? or should i stack different seperate midi's onto each other? maybe im struggling with producing ear candy. and knowing what will sound good with what.

these crazy robotic outbursts , a mix of what you may reffer to optimus prime getting fingered with some terminator farts. Any idea on how to get these sounds on massive without having it sound like its confined in bubble wrap, i can get as close to it using scrapyard , sonic and crude. :?

Yeah will have a look through that thread it's about 50 pages tho so gonna be alot of reading :)

Think it's hard to know how to describe it so therefore hard to search for it. If you type in mid range bass tutorial you get a million responses about datsik/skrillex

A lot of the dungeon style basses are done with some variation of a reese.

one tip I've got is throw a delay on the synth in full wet and just a few milliseconds of delay. I normally use H-Delay and have it in ping pong mode. It can give very robotic characteristics

Dude you're bumping a bunch of super old threads with the same advice. Read the dates.
