I hate all that user made patches stuff. It's always well buggy and pc servers are fill of hackers and people with stupid cheats on. Not to mention that all the best games are developed with consoles in mind these days. The biggest thing though is the controls. Controllers on consoles are just so much better to use. Playing on the pc your just 'on the computer' clicking on things and pressing keys. It doesn't feel like your playing a game. At the end of the day I play games because I'm competitive, you don't get that edge on the pc. It's just a load of people bumming about with cheats and patches which was fun before I got to secondary school but just boring now. My 2cents.
I guess it just depends whether your a gamer at heart or someone who likes to mess around on some pc games every now and then. I've no problem with people who wanna play games on the pc
but it ain't proper gaming. You don't see a load of people sitting at pcs at major league gaming tournaments XD
ive never heard such complete and utter bullshit come out of someones mouth like that before.

Yeah I robbed the PS3 off my Dad....his names Ronnie. Haven't set up a new sign in as yet, though imagine a Maree Jaine one will arise soonish.
Only really playing CoD4 online at mo (MW1)...and don't laugh...cos I'm not very good, but I am trying hahahaha
And ereeeeeeeee I'm a PC gamer first and foremost....nowt wrong with PCs.

So me earning real cash money from Quake3 LAN tournaments isn't competitive?
Serious, console gaming's only plus is that you don't have to boot up your PC and have distractions like internet browsing, aim and stuff when you turn it on. Apart from that, its fairly equal to PC gaming.

yes this!
i have nothing against consoles, i used to rinse ps1 & ps2 back in the day, i find consoles better for racing games and pc's better for First Person Shooters.

I wanted to play online with some *producers*. That's why I started it here. I think your mistaken about me flaming noobs as well, sure I often post to tell them they've posted in the wrong thread etc but I don't flame people for it. In fact there are at least 2 threads on the first page of this forum right now where newbies have posted threads asking repetitive questions and I've actually given them a detailed answer trying to help even though I could have just linked to the production bible like everyone else.
I don't really see why all of you lot had to come to this thread specifically to instigate more bitching and flaming anyway. I don't care if you don't find it useful, there are lots of people here that do/will.
I've tried to cut out all the unnescessary stuff out of this thread I can, so just my posts I can edit and also compiled the entries so far into a single post. If I have missed anyone out or mis-copied anything then let me know. And please from now on can everyone just play nice and be respectful. If you don't play console games then why are you posting in this thread?

Haha, it does wind me up a treat when I don't play to the level I know I can XD but I love it too much to ever quit. Life long addiction, been playing games since before I was at school, I managed to quit drugs, alcohol and cigarettes, but games? Hell no.
