beginners forum would be nice. and then have a bot that automatically answers every opened thread there with links to the production bible and locks the thread

also i wouldnt want a widget, fuck no. if it's only on the frontpage, well i don't have that opened for longer than a few seconds anyway. and if it's on every page i'd go crazy because i'd have houndreds of tunes playing (tabbed browsing etc). the same with refreshing a page.

no more damn widgets and embeds please, they're great in moderation, but when someone posts like 20 youtube videos in a row then someone quotes that it's just a slow loading page

How about a reputation thingy like they have on IDMforums. For those who don't know, here's how it works : you post something that's useful to someone, they give you a reputation point, the amount of these points is displayed below the number of posts.
It's probably not the only reason but there is a much better shit/quality posts ratio over there and it seems to be encouraging people to help each other and create useful thread.

Can we make the soundcloud embeddings even bigger, and make them flash? Maybe in lots of different colours?????????

how about disabling soundcloud embeds in signatures altogether?

not that i visit dsf much anymore these days...

I used to a frequent a forum that made a lot of use of reputation points. It has a lot of potential to ruin a forum with ego, IMO. Eventually anything said by someone with 1000+ points is undisputed gospel and there's no room for dissenting opinion.

you can turn them off, or block them.

the only thing we really need around here is more advance heads. we have some, and they do look after us, but more would be better. think what this place would be like if we had 10 macc's
