yeah, its been 4 months, something must be wrong. Maybe location, maybe finances, whatever it is lets show them that they've got a ton of people behind them and wishing that they'd come back. Hopefully that will make them speed up the process.

Dubwar put the U.S. on the map. I'm sure it will be back. Good things must wait.

It was an honor to have gotten to play this past April ! Nothing beats that dj booth.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Dub War didn't come back. That one-off Swamp 81 party that Dave threw on Monday seemed to work so well. The vibe was thick, and it wasn't too crowded. Keeping it more for the heads could work better. There was a fucking mosh pit at the 5 year birthday with Skream and Mala - can't deal with that shit.

i have to admit....ive been going to dub war faithfully since beginning of 07. ive gotten to see some amazing talent and felt the best vibes ever. the venue, the people, the guests, the crowd....it just all had this magical feel to it and its been an epic ride. i stopped going for the last yr of it or so bc of certain reasons. but the old days of dub war. there was nothing to top it.
seems like dubstep has grown and changed over the past yr or two and i guess that made dub war a bit diff. def for the 2-3 yrs it was HARD and HEAVY....those were my fav days ever for dubstep. EVER. so thank you joe nice. and dave q. and juakali. the original bad boys. :Q:

Thank you everyone.

The support is heartfelt and ever-appreciated. The summertime cool-out has been a bit longer than anticipated/expected...
Pandaia's post sums up the current state of DubWar.

We are all going through changes. The dubstep sound. Venue. Life.

We won't compromise our ethos for the sake of having an event that isn't "DUBWAR".

When the time is right -- we will return. When we return, you will know. Follow us on Twitter @DubWarNYC
Cheers for your continued patience and support.

i'm glad a lot of people feel this way, and i think this is a huge incentive to get this night going again, especially because of how different and true it stayed to its sound. everywhere u look now, at every party u go, there will always be taht played out sound of "mainstream" dubstep. fingers crossed, i hope it comes back and with the sound quality it used to be back in the day at LOVE

Apart from in-and-out, and other touristy douchebaggery, Dubwar is one of the few reasons I wish to leave my shit country for another one.

Not to be sacrilegious because I have had many an amazing time at Dubwar through the years, but if you miss it that much - the vibe, the dj's, the community - just throw your own party! The first time I noticed Dubwar's absence was last week when every other city on the east coast got Appleblim. You know what? If someone offered him money (through his agent obvs) he would have gladly come to NY. All the people you want to see are easy to contact, and most will tell you how to go about booking them - because they like to play for money. Dubwar was an amazing party (better in 2005-2007 than 2008-2010 imho), but the people who made it aren't doing that right now. You guys can own your own thing! Try it out. Despite the many parties the city has to offer, there's clearly still a void. DIY!
