It's basically like a gameboy on your PC... Music-wise ofc

basic 64 vst, i just load a simple square wave, make it sound how i want then reduce the decay rate to make it snappy.

I find that layering some white noise very quietly with the synth can create some sweet sounds, plus bitcrusher.

There's a dope 8 bit synth I forget the name of around. Some decent presets there, Mario jumps and whatnot.

I think the ones you listed are all paid synths, Atlantis can do this for free!
