No. o.o I cut up the break and I then try to arrange the sliced parts back in the pattern, but the groove of the sliced hats/ghost snares no longer sounds natural.

Are you using the Dx command to move the hits off the grid, cos that might help make things sound a bit more natural?
this! if you just slice every individual hit and rearrange it completely then you'll of course lose the grooveSharmaji wrote:work w/ bigger chunks of audio (more than just a 16th note) when you're working with breaks.
