Think this was a PC only bug, and was patched really quickly on Steam. The video was posted up on Reddit originally, and in the patch notes they creditted Reddit for finding it and even posted the video

I played it from when i got home from work till about 3 this morning and logged another 6 hours already today

My roommate's been playing it. All evidence indicates that it's just a buggier, shittier version of Fallout 3. I'll probably wait for the inevitable GOTY edition to pick it up.

it depends mate, personally i'd go straight for Vegas. fallout 3 isn't really any different, well apart from the story and plot obviously.. although you don't really get a full run down of what everything is when you start new vegas, i think they expect everyone to know the fallout universe inside out. I don't know if it'd be worth your checking out the older fallout games either, the gameplay is completely different.
