what i meant by they all have the best bass sound is there sounds kind of similar in a way, i cant explain why i love it so much but soon as i hear a track with that hollow kind of bass i just want to go mental.
other artists that have been mentioned in this thread all have great bass sounds but they dont do it for me as much as the artists in the op

2nd that, its got to be a ridiculous amount of knowledge, along side some hardware and some software

I know I'm talking to someone WAY ahead of me, production-wise - but I thought kryptic just liked to play with saw/square waves low-passed. I've also got similar sounds, but not to their quality, which I'm assuming comes from hardware?

These kinds of statements always confuse me (apologies). What do you mean by extreme eq? I know I've got a lot to learn in this regard, as I am still unable at this point to use eq musically...

I like so called "invisible" basses, with a subtle bassline layer and a deep sub layer, on more ambient tracks but, and forgive me for this: Mid range basses can be pretty sick too.

So why did you call it "the best bass sound"? And not "the best hollow bass sound" ?
