Hell yeah I'd love a good reason to hate him but I don't really see one. Not into the music but whatev. I think this is the kind of shit that ushers young folks into the scene and eventually help keep the music relevant. I have no beef with that. i like to think that you're right, but lets be honest, the good shit starts over there and we adopt the worst of it. funny that dubstep blew up in the US just as rusko moved here and changed his sound to the shitpop we're sure to hear on britney's next record. i don't think he was saying that US is MAKING the worst dubstep, but the general "dubstep" listening population here is perpetuating it. it takes exploring outside of the cookie monsta/datsik/excision/borgore/rusko/caspa/skrillex realm to know that there's a lot more to it. same goes for the absolutely horrific dnb scene that caught on here.

also. as a journalist, URB needs to get this alex chapman guy back into the intern office. he sounds like he has absolutely no idea what he's talking about and he likely starting listening to the music around the same time as the aforementioned rusko kids. i'm all for being freeform and not necessarily sticking to a script during interviews but he's just pulling cluelessness out of his ass. URB should stick to hip hop and let xlr8r do what they do best.
