This episode was originally going to be shown on Showtime in January 2006, but the station banned it shortly before the broadcast. It debuted in America on DVD on September 26, 2006.

as much as i agree with this, i always get confused when people say "why would they want to remake so and so"....isnt it obvious?
hit the nail on the headwolf89 wrote:Fuck the remakes. I mean most people who will go see the films probably don't know about the originals. So instead of stealing from films why don't they just adapt a load of books if they're stuck for ideas. At least then they're rehashing something from a different medium not doing the same thing again but badly. I don't get it. Why does making a god awful version of another film seem acceptable to people. If I just recorded a shitty version of a Black Sabbath album with my mates everyone would wonder what the fuck I was doing.

This. Though I haven't seen it, I can't imagine the live action Cromartie High School movie being anything less than hilarious. Here's hoping WETA and Cameron don't royally fuck up Evangelion and Battle Angel Alita respectively.crackf wrote:to be fair death note wasnt that bad special effects wise i expected them to be awefuldeadly habit wrote:i can't think of one good anime/manga to live action adaptation, not saying there aren't any, just nothing coming to mind
