I think interlectual property is a good idea because it means you actually own what you make which is fair enough really. And it is best to ask before sampling vocals in your own tunes, because it could be thought as stealing. Also people sometimes actually want to make money out of the stuff they make, and before you say thats selling out, its not, its earning some actuall money so they can actually live.
