I'm certain that space Dimension Controller was using an ipad when I saw him at the R&S records showcase recently. Looked like he was usuing it as a mixer of sorts.

iPad is fantastic live performance tool. Running touchosc and a couple max patches, really opens up what I can do during a live pa. Being able to close the laptop and focus on the hardware gives a more live feel as well. Fun for live pa, not much Else.

Ah, Rana is a good girl. I've spoken with her over Twitter a fair bit. Her musical taste might not be as spot on as some people might want, but she is doing some next level stuff.

Plus she gets to play livesets for Steve Jobs. Whatever way you look at it, fair play to the girl. She is pushing boundaries with new technology.

jazzmutant IS ceasing production of the lemur as of 12/31. They were, apparently, originators of the multi-touch interface and will continue to develop the software.

so, yeah: the ipad killed the lemur.
