It does not count as equipment but one choice would probally be some kind of production school/lessons. Second would be a trip/permanent move to the uk since at least where i live in the U.S the dubstep/any other form of electronic music scene here is not exactly great...
If it had to be a space / items
A space for a venue and sound system for that venue this wouldnt have to be huge just big enough to hold people and let them dance and maybe a bar.
Items if it had to be items
Serato, mpc, some sort of midi keyboard a few daws and a bunch of vsts whatever is left monitors and saved for later lol.

I would buy a reliable computer and then buy all the software I use regularly but haven't already brought. Then I'd get some pretty good monitors, probably a7s. Then I'd buy a pair of technics and a decent mixer. Then with the leftover I would buy as much crack as I can afford and lock myself in my room with some supplies and see how much of an album I can produce before the crack kills me and then make sure the album gets released and channel 4 makes a program about me. Tell me you wouldn't listen to that album

I'd just have Mala spit on a track of mine. His saliva would increase my prowess 10fold.

At first I thought you meant “Rap over” … and then suddenly, in horror, I realized you meant literally… -w-

Actually addressing the question... I really would like to get a UAD Quad Super Flex Fuel Flux Capacitor type card, or three, and a daw that actually handled synchronizing latency properly. UAD is seriously THE sickness.

==

Maybe I'd get a 1/2" two track, and a stack of tape.

==

I'd get an mpc 4k totally maxed out.

==

SP303

==

I'd get the highest quality 16 channel mixer.

==

I'd get health insurance.

Fast reliable laptop, few cheapish pieces of kit for imaginary potential live rig (t-resonator, cheap comp/limiter to stop it blowing shit up, 3 laptop riser things, launchpad, a tiny tiny tiny mixer. soundcard with lots of ins/outs and minimum latency, some software I would love to own, couple of 57/58s.

Small but nice second-hand rig, maybe 4k at a guess. Makes peoples houseparties more fun and easy, lets me fieldtest tracks, potentially adds a extra (tiny) stage at friends outdoor parties, plus I can play "Im taking my ball and going home" except for adults :wink:

Thats ten grand right there. Kinda depressing really lol :u: -w-
