that's really cool, could you show the one with the jack as well? Quite well found by your friend!vulvavibration wrote:thanks mate - a friend done this for me. she studies graphic design2manynoobs wrote:that's fucking good man!vulvavibration wrote:this one's mine...
but it needed about 5 sessions to get that rightbut looks good now, doesn't it. i'm happy with it. got a second one (this is just for the whole dj think) with a big jack-plug instead of the needle
love it. clean, simple, shows what you're all about, and it's very well done.vulvavibration wrote:this one's mine...
case in point. a logo isn't something one whips up in 5 minutes and is perfect. it takes a lot of work and communication between the artist and client.but it needed about 5 sessions to get that right

he joins a dubstep forum, for a logo for his youtube channel to promote lesser known dubstep artists, cant blame him for thinking someone on a DUBSTEP forum might share that aim and want to help!
and i'm sure he would take the time to answer any questions you asked if everyone didnt INSTANTLY flame him! and client/artist communication can happen once an artist has been found? it would be a bit hard before a links even established. . .

theres ways of doing this sort of thing and just cuz its the internet doesnt mean you approach it any different

this isnt a design agency, its an internet forum full of people with a lil bit of creativity, a cracked copy of photoshop and buckets of free time cos theyre actually ON an internet forum.
OK perhaps he was a bit curt, but lets be honest its not like you guys showed any respect anyway?

i can't underscore this enough. people have no idea the amount of time that goes into truly mastering illustrator, or creative suite. those that are quick to say its easy, and that "its just a logo" are the ones that are the problem. this is across the board, in both the real world and the net. clients that have no idea about creative suite, or graphic design, should approach people just as any other technical profession. you don't ring up a plumber, and ask him to look at your sink for free, so why would you do it sitting behind a screenname?64hz wrote:theres ways of doing this sort of thing and just cuz its the internet doesnt mean you approach it any different
