just curious is it ripping someone off if i payed for a ton of soundpacks with drumloops and theyre used in mainstream dubstep songs cuz im not a drummer but i can make a dank wobble from scratch

...why dont you make your own drumloops...?

No. You are paying for the right to use/alter/resample with soundpacks, so that would be legit.
Of course there are one or two grey areas there, especially with samples like the amen, but that's a different thread all together....

agree with dubloke. inter-genre sampling is great but sampling the same genre your making (especially in electronic music) is a no-no as it kind of loses the point of creative sampling. unless obviously its a cover or remix. thats how i always saw it anyway
