I don't like it when people spill their drinks and make the floor sticky.

Seriously. It's so bad I cry myself to sleep every night, wishing that there was SOMEONE out there in a 50 mile radius who knows who Mala is.
im offended, im definitely within 50 miles of you...

and you've just been a lil too young til now, now you can get into bassface... (hatcha, mala, skream, benga, jakes, kromestar, mrk1, silkie, pokes, kode9, komonazmuk, n type, etc... they've all been here, now you're old enough to go)

by the way you're carrying on you'd think you live in south dakota or south carolina/rural mississippi or something, count your blessings

p.s. we need to chill

I can't stand that either. It's like trying to skank in a swamp.

Alright alright, that's true. I put 50 down cause I figured LA was 60 or so away

Seriously though, it just sucks never really getting to experience the real thing. My experience so far with other people into dubstep has been them talking about UKF and me being told Mala isn't dubstep. I realize there's more out there than this, but it just gets massively frustrating after a while... At least it's finally within my grasp...

Everywhere more and more organisers start booking dj's and producers who play out more harder stuff. It becomes harder to find a night where some serious dj's are playing some serious weighty dubstep.
And if you find an event where Mala, Youngsta, Kryptic Minds, Pinch, Distance, ... or w/e is playing there are definitely 5 others on the bill who'll only play filth or dub police.

Recently there was a big party in bxl called "I love dubstep", I thought "awesome probably some deep shit". What I didn't see was that it was organised by F*ckin' beat, they organise a lot of, well, shit parties.
Headliners: Phace (wtf, aren't they dnb?), Downlink, Point.Blank, AKS, ...
Their NYE party has Dr P, Koan Sound, GWN etc on the line up. It's a bit sad that there's not a single dubstep night in Belgium on New Year's Eve with some dubstep that doesn't make you cringe.
f*cking beat are f*cking ridiculous

but i think you've got to admit that there's also a lot of good stuff. Je m'en fish, soulblazers, soul motive, dungeon, last week pressure in bxl, and i can't remember the others.. .

anyway, i think it has been almost 2 months that i've went to a party.. last one was in bxl with scuba and pariah etc.. a whole night filled with deepness, super great that was

but i think it's not wrong to say that we have at least every week one deep party somewhere in the country

I had to study so I couldn't go to Pressure, I almost cried.

Also Je m'en fish doesn't organise that much anymore, dungeon is alright most of the time and soulblazers is losing it a bit. Just like Daily Dubstep is losing it.
First edition: Skream and Benga. Was good, they were better back then as they are now. 2nd edition: N-Type, Mala, Breakage, Kryptic Minds and Youngsta. LEGENDARY line-up
Third edition: Digital Mystikz, N-Type, Hatcha. N-type was alright, don't know about the rest because I fell asleep outside whilst puking (kids, never take an aspirin before drinking vodka, even if it's one hour before).
But now, fourth edition has Nero & Emalkay has headliners, which is in sharp contrast with previous editions in my opinion.

The thing you're talking about scuba, wasn't that Club Circuit? Or was it the thing in the Kultuur Kaffee with Cosmin TRG?

Anyway in the end, I don't think we have that much to complain about, at least we have an active scene with some deep heads and deep parties.

yep.

btw, i'm currently in the process of starting up a vzw with a few friends to push the deep and only the deep sounds in and around leuven :)

there are at least 5 talented young people I know around here, starting to make real quality music, it's ridiculous! In a few years (if dubstep is still alive) you'll hear some good things coming out leuven ^^

Finally someone who gets me, in another part of the country though. Where I live, I haven't even met anyone who fucking knows what "dubstep" is. However, the hardcore clubgoing crowd here at least knows a bit, everyone else; the general public, blind and deaf.

Out of frustration I blasted Youngsta's RinseFM show through the windows of my car while drivin' slow on my uni campus back in september just thinking to myself "Aha, you fuckas never heard of THIS shit now have you"

Yeah I went to that one with Headhunter and Bunz. But then again, Nero. But who cares, HEADHUNTER !!! There's also Pinch & Distance, Sukh Knight, Hijak etc. in Antwerp.

Didn't know you were from Belgium? Where about? bxl?

Yeah Pinch & Distance are at Untitled. Don't know if I'm going this time.
Tickets are expensive and the main room is a bit hmmmm.. Caspa, Subscape, The Others, Trolley Snatcha, fuck that.
Room's gonna be full of people who don't have a clue again, if you get me. The Club will be better but still.

Happy for Gaz he made it to the main room though.

Nah Wallonïe but i'm moving to Brussel next year to study and I speak both French and Dutch :D So... Yeah Untitled are really nice parties, if I remember correctly there were Kromestar and Joker at the last one, that's gotta be sick ! And that Dub Police takeover thing... Well I guess they're doing it to get the hype, but "people who know" shall make a move to the club I guess :D

The fact that the dub police are headlining over two originators of the sound is completely fucked.

You see Untitled itself is alright, the party just attracts a lot of dickheads who think they're fucking gold because they listen to dubstep.
Last edition was the birthday edition. Spent 15 minutes in the main room (Emalkay, Dr P and other shit), rest of the time I was at the Club being totally wasted on Loefah & Cyrus.

I live near bxl by the way, studying @ vub atm. Which reminds me; I should actually be studying now. :D
