Yeah I know what the phrase is supposed to relate too. Which makes the name better.

i hadn't assumed you didnt know. just thought i'd point it out to anyone else.

used to really like the band, then got into iron monkey and eyehategod and realised they ripped off most of their tracks from them.

did g to see them at rock city once though, back when i was about 15 and a load of corby skinheads came down to start some shit. massive fight kicked off outside after the gig, we were sat on the steps waiting for my mates dad to pick us up. pretty mental. have had a healthy respect for the rock city bouncers since then. they whooped some ass that night.

I still think their first two albums are sick.

If you get the demos of their first album it literrally does just sound exactly like they think they're iron monkey though

fucking love iron monkey man. 9 joint spiritual whip is incredible. might even listen to it now!

edit: am listening to it now!

to be honest i was in a band back then and we tried to be eyehategod except we were all clean, white middle class boys. didnt really work without the smack and new orleans squatting. was a laugh though...

I've always pronounced it leo-fah. Even after I was told I was wrong.
I used to pronounce it "lo-eh-fah".

Is Emalkay meant to make you think Martin Luther King? Or is that a coincidence?

Autechre always looked like a French word to me so I say it:

Aw (like the a in all) - tesh - re (at the back of the throat)

But I also say "Aw - teck - er"
