I have a pair of em and they sound great. The bass is nice but as mentioned earlier cuts off a bit early but its still manageable. Just use a freq analyzer or whatever to get the sub levels right.

Also

Big 8" monitors in an untreated room is going to cause a lot of problems with frequencies / phasing / cancellation / etc. just a heads up.
