Does that not make you feel sick? Makes me feel a bit sick that I wrote ' Mala Alicia' on the label of mine!

If you can afford the tune and you want it bad enough then why not? Obviously records have a going-rate, but it's purely down to the buyer and how much he/she wants to spend/can afford.

I spent £32 on ASBO the other day.
True. But Mud and few Skream tracks is actually what got me into dubstep in the first place, and I would never pay more than 15 Euros for it, I was around when it was less than that but I just didn't collect and listen to vinyl then, let alone 60 pounds! To call it extortion is a bit exaggerated, no one is coercing you into having it; however, this pricing along with other DMZ releases have priced most out of the market which is a shame because rather than having chest pounding 808 sounds experience they're left listening to a muddy version on youtube.
Then again, don't most listen to dubstep on their ipods with buds or iphones some other nonsense these days?
I spent 47 pounds on records last month, and I can justify that since I have bought 4 and some WAVS, but 60 on one, whatever it is, is simply not feasible. I have better more pertinent things to place my money on, and I don't need a wife/girl to tell me or intimidate me into doing that.
But if you do go along with it, I've heard of people paying upwards of 500 for the Shasha's Xpander EP, so its not like it hasn't been done before. I'm not here to help with your rationalization, simply stating factual information of the absurd nature on human behavior, of which I'm guilty of as such behavior encompassed most of my later teens and early 20's. (Carpe Diem and that taken to the extreme.)

Didn't mean to give offense, I've always said if people have the money then why not. It is one of my favourite tracks of all time too! Still must of been a bit hard to part with £100 though!

Well I paid $130 to get a dubplate cut so I kind of know the feeling.. It's quite a lot of money to spend for one whitelabel 12" sitting in my crate.. I try to not think about it.
..I'm still going to do it again though.
I was going to buy Squeeze My Lime off discogs, but the shipping ended up being ridiculous.. guy was in the eastern bloc or something.
I'm happy with chemical and the odd second hand gem popping up at my local record store.

Most I've spent is £20 on Red Eye. The most I would spend is about £30.
Saying that, I swear it wasn't that long ago when £30 would've got you Haunted/Anti-War Dub, now you're going to need £100+.

i dont get the hype about this tune, all he's done is take this song and put a bassline/some basic percussion on top

I got really excited when someone posted that Sasha Xpander EP was selling for £500 I was going to run home and sift through the back catalogue but seems you can buy one of the 87 copies on sales at discogs for as little as £1.95!! will have to go home and see if I own Mala - Alicia now as thats not one of my favourites and if I can get 100 notes for it I would, does this also go for Hijak - Tears??
Out to the original poster if your Mrs is anything like mine you can add at least 25-50% to the price of any purchase she tells you she made when it comes to clothing and footwear (its always on sale I notice) so dont see why you cant do the same if it comes up.
