question:
is Kid Drama Jon Convex? And is Acid Jackson a collab with Jon Convex and Boddika, or Instra:mental yet under a different alias?

yes, Drama is Jon Convex. Jon Convex + Boddika = Instra:mental. Not sure who Acid Jackson is...probably something related to Instra:mental.
Instra:mental album is fantastic.

This album is outstanding, although I cannot understand why When I Dip is not on here. Sample Clearance?

yeah that's strange, but in a way i can see how w/those samples and certain other elements in the tune, that it doesn't quite fit the colder, more futuristic overall vibe of the album?

I fully agree, but it was just odd how it was on the album sampler, which I never purchased because I assumed it would be on the full release.

I agree. I mean, for all we know it could have been sample clearance but I imagine it was more of an artistic decision on the basis that it doesn't really fit with the rest of the LP. Glad I checked the t/l of the LP and was able to grab the LP sampler whilst I still could...

Instra:mental album is fantastic.
So Acid Jackson is the name of the artist and not the title of a track?
Nothing to stop them working on some tunes together under the name Acid Jackson, maybe it's a different sound to the stuff they're releasing as Instra:mental? Will have to grab the d-Bridge podcast from last week as he dropped the Acid Jackson tune.
I like to think that were I talented enough to be producing and releasing such amazing music I'd have a whole slew of production monikers in a similar vein to Carl Craig.

Very happy with this album. Some of those rich textures and sweet harmonies have gone missing from Instra:mental's work recently yet I'm liking the harder, edgier sound just as well. "8" and "Waterfalls" are two favourites, but the whole album's great.

love the whole album but Talkin' Mono takes the cake for me, so good. I like Sun Rec but I'm surprised they decided to start off the album with it.

I like Sun Rec, User, Waterfalls, and Love Arp but overall I was a bit disappointed with the new direction they're going. I've always loved the more melodic stuff they've done and never was a huge fan of Electro or Acid House. Was hoping for more stuff like Let's Talk and Vicodin, which are still dark and moody yet melodic and retain that signature Instra:Mental sound.

I changed my mind, I'm liking the way it starts w/Sun Rec now. This album just keeps getting better w/every listen.

key with this album. Almost a week now for me, and I'm digging it wholly. Still don't care for Aggro Acid, and Plok though

via nakedlunch Acid Jackson is only a Boddika alias. I thought possibly the both because on Dbridge's latest podcast on rinse, he played a tune by Acid Jackson saying it was produced by two talented producers coming together, so Im confused heh. Either way its an absolutely amazing tune.
