It's more about being outdoors and most likely a tent. Past few years the dubstep artists at coachella have sounded fairly poor. I think a lot of it has to do with them limiting some of the sound so it doesn't effect the other stages.

This is a good point... By system I just thought you meant the sound system exclusively

Ya last year they kept all the dubstep at the pure filth stage in the campgrounds so Im assuming that where most of them will play since theyre not on the main line up.

It is a pretty big "bro"fest, and may not be the best atmosphere for listening to dubstep, but a fuckin amazing time none the less.

yeah, but there's surprisingly few brostep artists. 12th planet, skrillex, and excision, and i think that's it. on the other hand you've got about 15 top notch dubstep names!

True, Im really surprised about that. Some of my friends wanna go to Ultra in Miama, now thats gonna be a fuckin brofest. Worst lineup I think I've ever seen.

But of course, I get labeled as the one who likes shitty music for not being into all that nu electro/ dubstep shit or whatever you wanna call it. Why is it so hard to meet people who know about good tunes. Feel like you guys must have a better scene out west when it comes to this stuff.

yeah, as awesome as it is, it really wouldn't be much fun without some friends to enjoy it with. if you really want to go but still can't find anyone, you're welcome to kind of hang out with me and my friends, but i don't know how keen you are on spending time with a couple of 17 and 18 year olds

the lineup is awesome, the sound is awesome, coachella is always awesome...

and on the "policing" tip... it's california. i've seen more drugs at coachella than any other fest aside from burningman

almost teared up at the lineup, gonna be an epic time

not sure why there's so much hype over DFA79 tho, i've seen them live and they're not that special, and only have one or two good songs, imho
