This was an amazing way to spend a Saturday hungover. There was free cider too! Hair of the dog eh.
Loefah had been playing at Fabric the night before so think he felt the same haha.
Awesome event, learnt a few new things. Be checking the next one.

I recorded most of the 40 min interview session on my iPhone which I could upload if anyone was interested?

I'd consult the organisers first. It's called common courtesy.

Just trying to gauge if people are even bothered about listening to it first. Hence I asked that in the first place. Thanks for the polite advice  I will ask them.
Wouldn't want the copyright police after me :sofa:
Hopefully they recorded it using decent ambient mics and will make that available instead.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the comments and feedback. The reason the recording quality is low is due to the event being organised on a shoestring budget. The event is totally free for people to attend so I don't make enough money to invest in stuff like that yet. I'm looking into all this stuff and ways of making the video and audio of better quality but I'm afraid it's like this for now! We're organising the next event due in April so keep your eyes on twitter.com/onthebuttons or www.onthebuttons.tumblr.com to see who's next :)

If you want a hand recording audio for upcoming events I would be glad to help out. Whilst I don't have condenser rifle mics to use I do have an SE Z5600a II tube mic that can be configured in a mono omni polar pattern. If this was in the centre of the room near the interview sofa it would probably do a decent job of general room coverage, with an added compressor set up as a limiter.

Anyway I PM'd you so will send the iPhone audio over to you tonight hopefully after this Georgina Cook photo exhibition at Lava gallery tonight! Get down to this, hopefully some of her photos will be for sale.

There is no problem with the audio quality IMO, Its just the volume/mixing is off.

Very well shot and well produced video. BIG UP!

I subscribed a while back. You guys actually introduced me to Swindle's music so thanks for that!! Personally I would totally love to see a question and answer session for Silkie, Quest or Scuba. But yeah Silkie especially that'd be sick!

I'd love to hear the entire session, please upload! and I don't know why people are suggesting you ask the organizers first (y'all are way too uptight): it was a free public event, they should be happy to have more people be able to experience it. thanks!
