The fact is, if someone is gonna be happy with a 128 of your music then they aren't the kind of person who was gonna pay for it anyway. If you're really dumb enough to think that putting something available to stream online is gonna be un-rippable then that's one thing...but actually getting the hump 'cos some teenies have your 128s? true. initially got that plugin for DLing Youtube Videos, but it works on anything pretty much. and 128 aint too bad for average listening

You'd think that anyone who knew how to rip from soundcloud would know how stupid they would sound if they said "I can convert any 128kbps into a flac."

i never complain about threads but this one is bullshit because its encouraging taking music from the artist that they dont want you to take.
im not saying ive never downloaded a track, but i definitely dont promote it.

I'd tell you that you're talking utter bollocks haha. Turning a low quality lossy format into a high quality, lossless format is impossible lol. That's why you send out master WAV's for release; a lossless format can be compressed into a smaller file size, lossy format like MP3 etc, but it doesn't work the other way round. Once that file is compressed into its lossy format it's done, no going back lol.

yeah, just like you can make a large picture smaller with no loss of quality. but you cant blow up a small picture into a large one and it magically be good quality and not all pixelated.

but i thought it was pretty common knowledge that you pretty much rip anything thats on the internet nowadays whether it be audio or video...guess not
