He probably just needs a holiday away from all the partying (also running a record label, radio shows etc etc)

skream has given out probably £150 worth of free tunes over the course of the last 5 years on this forum, so with respect, nobody in here has any legs to stand on in regards to what he should be doing or saying about his own releases. they're his releases.
he's a human being, and if he's having a great day or a not so great day, he's still skream and still a pioneer in this sound. no hype on that either.

Fair BUT, let's pretend I'm Skream, I'm uber famous and I'm in NYC being paid a bomb to perform and I've been doing quite well for some time, I wouldn't lose the value of money and just start shouting at the crowd even though I'm being paid to perform. If it did happen, then he over stepped the mark.
I have seen many Skream sets where there is always a bit of banter or he pulls a rewind on someone elses set blah blah.
But shouting at the crowd is too far.

What a load of bollocks...you wouldn't be saying that if you paid the $50+ for him to tell you off, even if you did probably buy his album.
No one is denying he produces some great tunes or that he is generous with the tunes he gives away, doesn't give him a free pass to be a twat to people.

were you at the gig? you're taking one man's word about a comment said onstage, and making some character judgement on skream now. if there were dozens of people complaining you'd have a point. so far there isn't.

Of course!
But if it is true, then, kinda sucks right for the people paying to see him right? Your first argument was purely based on 'hes Skream, hes generous and hes a pioneer so he can do what he wants'. I just said that was a load of bollocks, if this is all unture then sucks for Skream as people are stirring more shit for him but honestly, I don't really give that much of a shit.

There's a really ugly divide developing between certain producers and 'normal people', and it's a massive shame because largely it's due to things being blown out of proportion or misunderstanding from both sides (thanks, internet). I guess it's kind of unavoidable to an extent once a new sound blows up like Dubstep has, but I'm genuinely sad to see it starting to happen all the same.
Reading the twitter feed, I kind of feel like Skream (aside from knowing how to party - lol at the tweet about police being called to the hotel) takes anyone who wasn't into dubstep since day one, or doesn't dig the real hard side of the sound, as a mug. I KNOW that's not true, but it just shows how easy it is to take things in the wrong way (from both sides...I hate referring to them as sides..) and that's where all this bollocks stems from. People's mentality is just so different on the internet. Ah fuck it, that'll do.
Big up Skream.

Either way, I'm glad the DJ and MC roles are confined to separate positions at most nights unlike some radio shows where there's a little too much chat...

Way too much gum flapping and not enough questions. It's funny how through misinterpretation, a bunch of people are ready to condemn a person over someone elses words.
There is a lesson in here somewhere.

As in he had a CD in front of him and someone from the crowd took it?

from what i can tell, someone stole a cd with dubs on it from the club, so he has every right to be pissed off. granted that probably wasnt the best way to go about dealing with it though

Not cool to use this as an excuse to hate on the man. He had all reason to be pissed off and was probably having a bad night, shame. It's only human. Happens and now we can all move on, bit cheap to reflect this on his personality. Skream's just having a laugh on Twitter and trying to provoke. He's old enough to look after himself, doesn't need us to do that tbh.

Common man... Someone fucking low life thief STOLE a CD full of dubs consisting of other artist material as well as his own. It's difficult for anyone to remain calm and composed in such a situation.
Out to the fool who created this thread.

If it's true about the dubs CD then in my mind I grant him full pardon (not that my opinion matters lol), and from what I read here he's notorious for getting blasted at his shows. There are lots of artists (not so much in the bass world) who've decided to lecture people about downloading music. Hate that shit...
His twitter is hilarious though
