stay positive and don't stop until its as good as it needs to be

This thread is wikid. Ive been in a rut lately and dunno how to get out of it. Cant make any music that I like. Been thinkin of quiting the green stuff and working hard on learning to play the piano and drums and become more disciplined. All I wanna do is do what famous dubstep dj/producers do. Travel, make beats, live life. Its not much to want, right?

Wonder what kinda sacrifices the big playas had to make to get to where they are.

would be nice to reach that stage where you can comfortably talk to other producers or DJs without sounding like a big bumlick haha

lol i do that already and pretty much always have, no need to get all star struck over musicians or artists for that matter. they're just people like you and me

yeahh i know, and so have I but i meant it would be nice to have something to bring to the table.
I meant like it would be nice to be in that circle of producers/DJs that know each other personally and travel and play shows together an stuff

Would be nice to start getting some serious state-wide recognition, as either a producer, or a DJ.

Get my first release at some point, do some gigs when I become good enough at DJing. Would love for it to be my job though, traveling, DJing and producing music which not only do I like but alot of other people like as well. For the moment I shall suffer working in a supermarket where I'm slowly going more insane.

My ambition to to listen back to a finished tune of mine and actually like it.

it would be great to get my tunes played by some of the big boys, and have like a big hype track, i want my tunes to have that pro feel too and not sound like i made it on my lil laptop

Realistically if I have could DJ to an acceptable level where I travel the region/country playing gigs and house parties, plus have the odd decent release, a tune dropped on Getdarker by a "famous" DJ maybe, or played out in a club.... then I will die a happy man.

do some gigs. proper gigs. at least more than my current average of one every 6 months

I would like a vinyl release to hang on my wall, before vinyl dissapears. Get this live thing of the ground, play live set with mate at a festival on each continent. Make enough to live on off music. Tour till mid 30s. Settle down with some wicked singer/musician/artist girl, have kid, happily ever after.

Finish up Evolve EP and get started on some heavier tunes

I want to write background music for other forms of media. Indie video games are a big passion of mine but I wanna be making my everyday money from doing ads. This is a dream that may very, very soon become a reality and I am stupidly excited

I also wanna make a track I feel happy with. That would be pretty nice, though I fear I'm the kind of person that can't ever be happy with something they have created.

Aside from the standard make a living from my music, a slightly more realistic one would be making the weird noises for dr who. Even if that mean living in wales...

Have a digi release
Have a physical release
Start a digi label
Turn that into a vinyl label.
