come on. name names.
ive heard tunes in mixes that ive thought would be coki's, n theyve turned out to be somone else, probably influenced by his style.
Well, have a listen:
Shattered
All Of A Sudden
Earth A Run Red
Beep
I like the last two personally, but it's just a shame that Coki keeps sitting on brilliant tunes like
Old Hope and Serious.

sorry but the man fucking coined a style all of his own. is he not allowed to play around with it abit? personally the differences in those tunes is blatant.
its 5 or 6 tunes that you say are rehashed, most of which are classics, and the sound is related only, not the same.
imo, these objections just seem as petty as when that muppet was moaning about skream using a preset. get a grip...

people. criticism is good at times, keeps us on our heels and pushing forward. the man made a criticism, fair if you guys disagree with it, but it doesn't sit well with me that whenever someone criticises on here that people throw all their toys out the pram.

Um, the basslines in those two tune pairs are nearly identical, both in terms of progression and notes. In addition, all the tunes revolve around the bassline 100%. Same concept, if you will.
Him coming up with the concept himself or the tunes being "classics" is irrelevant to my point. The fact remains that he has been following this successful formula for several releases now. I just want to see him release some of the different tunes that I know he's capable of doing (see Officer/Mood Dub). That's a slightly different issue than using a preset or other sounds that have been used by others already.

yeh its different to other coki releases. i get the criticism that his songs sound similiar but theres no doubt he's trying different things and changing his sound atm...
Cheers for the linkage. Isn't that Movado on the vocals? Swear it sounds like him..
Smooth tune all the same, nice and drifting like his refixes of this type do so well. Shame that I don't like Movado in general, something about his singing flow doesn't click with me.
It's Mavado no? Gangsta for Life is his signature ting. I think he's amazing - check out 'Dying' on his myspace, (myspace.com/realmavado). Me and som1 else are talking about tryin to get his label to send him over here, if any one is feeling and could help put on a live show or set up an interview please pm me on here!!! cuz the more interest we cld get the better.
n BIG UP COKI
