This is every producers nightmare. It's unfortunate that he didn't have his material backed up, but it's not difficult to imagine how something like that could happen with his tour schedule.

storage is so cheap nowadays too. they've got hard drives the size of ipods with 1TB storage. I'd have had one of those on my person with all my tunes and project files, one in my bag, one on the person of everyone accompanying me, if i were a touring DJ.
I guess no one sees it coming, even when they saw it happen a couple of months prior

But I agree, this really is a producer's worst nightmare and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone except Skrillex. I think he deserves it really.
The world really doesn't need another album of him so this is a good thing.
