What was ever wrong with Black Flag? I do not understand post-hardcore or whatever this genre is. Different strokes I suppose.

Black Flag is not post-hardcore really.
My War and onward they started to play a little different but it wasn't post-hardcore.

what I was saying was that hardcore punk had no need to evolve an further by the time Black Flag were around. PS My War is awesome.

Black Flag is the original hardcore. I'm more into the newer stuff; 'post-harcore'/'metalcore'.

I have been trying to get into TFOT, but that whiny singer pisses me off, great instrumental stuff though.
