Always going to get some annoying threads but positives clearly outweigh the negatives imo. Especially taking SNH into account. House section is great for finding new stuff as are certain other threads already mentioned like the dungeon one.

trust.. i used to feel the same way myself.. hours upon hours have i whinged to badger to only realise that i don't give a fuck.

don't get me wrong; i owe a lot to this place.. but i've got what i needed

i've always loved this section of the forum, never a dull moment in many regards...


agree with Sheff though, the production forum really took the brunt of the onslaught, those who are still there and dishing out quality advice rather than sarcasm must have the patience of saints

Yep, absolutely. You can't ban people just for being idiots or for trolling now and again. But threads that get derailed into trite about which country is more racist America or Britain, or how shit America is because XXXXXX, and then there's the good threads that get wrecked - remember that one Mala started? Jesus, thank god some of the people on that thread aren't representative of 'the scene'.

FWIW am not having a go at the forum or how it's ran, just more wondering out loud why and how it's gone down hill.

Yup, I like the science nad astronomy threads too. I guess because I like getting a heads up on articles, essays and videos on such things, gwa, that does not equate a boring life. This place can be a good resource for finding good stuff I haven't seen or heard before, so yeah I do care to an extent!

More photography threads too... could do a photography comp?

It seems every forum was better back in the day according to people on various forums. It's just nostalgia most of the time, I mean it's a forum ffs.

As for the American orientated threads, I like them. They do go to shit quite quickly but I don't know any Americans or outright American haters IRL, so I enjoy learning the views from both sides.
This forum has done a lot for me; it teaches me things, brings new amazing artists to my attention and takes my mind in directions that it may never have gone otherwise.

really though if you go on any forums there are shit posts with shit people, and its pretty equally distributed. the internet is indiscriminatory with how people congregate. SNH actually has gotten a lot better I was thinking.

been reading these forums going to shit threads for years now, i'm sure someone wrote one when this last bunch of "ninjas" set up camp here in 08

for those of us who use this place to find information on music, mixes and shows---- it still rocks! if you're looking for a place for talking about other shit online, i would try disensus or summat
