This sounds deep, but not surprising at all. I've had a few experiences with the police to come to the conclusion that they are all stnuc...if they can find a reason to try and fuck you up, they will.

as cliched as it sounds the police are stnuc, do u really think they want to bring 'justice'? it was the only the other day i met some geeza who was a fully fledged headhunteter training to become an officer! u know they are blatently all like that in the force..

Sue the fuck out of them - should be able to get a multi-party action against them and sounds like you got enough evidence.

I've seen them be heavy handed at protests, free parties and even a couple of squat parties, but never heard of it for legal house parties. Totally agree that the bizzies usually just knock and give a time for the party to end usually - what was their reason for going that tooled up for a noise complaint?

We weren't given one.. several of us asked and were given no explanation. They didn't even give me a reason for kicking me out of my own house. One of the people who lives in the other house was punched twice in the face and told to fuck off when he asked what right they had to do any of this..

Still, we're doing things. The interview we did is being broadcast in clips in hourly news bulletins on the leeds bbc radio thing, we're filing a complaint with the IPCC, putting together a press pack to send to local papers and hopefully we'll be having a meeting with our local councillor in the next couple of days.

They're going to have to provide some explanation if there's so much of a fuss about it.

I can't understand why they would kick you out of your own house. I can't even imagine why they would ever think that was a clever move.

At this point in time where there's more consideration for increased police powers, seeing the wankers they employ doesn't bode well. At least most of them haven't got guns (yet).

This is the sort of shit they generally pull on the marginalised end of society knowing that no-one's going to do shit about it. I've spoken to people in the past that refused to believe accounts of police brutality on protests even when I've witnessed them myself.

Plus I was told by a geezer who used to be part of Spiral Tribe that they're given some form of amphetamine before putting on the riot gear to get them in the mood. He also said a lot of coppers that are bussed in for marches don't have numbers because they're not police, they're army dressed up in riot gear

I can remember an anti-war protest the other year and the police actually confiscated the legal observers video cameras which had a record of all the dodgy shenanigans going on. I was also threated with a taser for calling a copper a tnuc for kneeling on some fuckers back. Tasers supposedly weren't issued officially until about 6 months later. Fuckers are getting away with murder.

anyway, positive news - the students union are organising a meeting for us with our local councillor, MP, and the student liaison police officer. several of us were also interviewed this morning for a big feature that was shown just now on local BBC news Look North, which will also be screened at 6.30pm this evening. it was an excellent, unbiased, well edited and compiled feature. the police will certainly be aware of it, and as far as I'm concerned it's a huge victory for us.

Huge respect guys for going about it in such a productive and intelligent manner. I'm sure we don't know the half about the inner activities of the Boys In Blue. But that 'dog handler' looks like he could - and was more up for - doing damage than the actual dog...

But overall totally out of synch with the usual Hyde Park party vibe.

I've never seen or heard students being anything but studious, and certainly not annoying, drunk, mouthy stnuc with traffic cones on their heads telling you how the world works, ragging on you for having a job (yes, yes, I'm a capitalist flunky for needing to pay rent/eat) and then asking their parents for another grand for "books" (liquid/herbal/pills/powder variety). Oh and calling you a fascist for asking them to not play music loudly at 5 in the morning.

It's pretty inevitable that some people are going to be saying 'too fucking right, student wankers, would have brought out the tear gas myself' etc etc.

Still, it was a trouble-free party and innocent people were assaulted by the police. I'd like to think that people like Shonky would agree that a guy getting his arm broken as he tried to protect his girl from another hit by a cop is, well, not on?

I did actually have a mate who was sent down for six months for trying to stop a copper shaking his girlfriend out of a tree (she was about 30 foot up so could have been badly injured). I've also seen a 14 year old battered unconscious by six riot police at one of the may day protests. A mate of mine was recently going to get sent down for attacking a copper's knees with his rib (almost punctured a lung). I've seen six cops surrounding a policeman kneeling on a 5' girl so that no photos could be taken - when I pointed out this might be a tad cunty, the policewoman said that the girl had bitten her on her glove, her thick leather police issue gloves.

Had two mates beaten up in the cells too so all very nice. Anyone that's been to protests or free parties is only too aware of what the filth can do.

They act like stnuc cause they can. Got less morals than most other thugs too.
