I can never get down to it on that. Infact, I only make time for that when I have no means of making tunes. And even then, it's pretty rare I don't do something else for a changeRedderious wrote:
For real?? This is when im most creative, my workflow increases by like a gagillion times because i very quickly pick up on what would sound good with what. I really see bud as the imagination drug, surprisingly it can make alot more charismatic too, but thats not important. Talkings overrated anyways, we should seriously just stop fucking around and learn how to speak telepathically.zerbaman wrote:I can never get down to it on that. haha heard that. Since im just learning how to produce sometimes i get really discouraged because I cant make the exact sounds i want to. but i know i just have to keep trying and learning.zerbaman wrote:I think I'm just addicted to it really. Even when I know I shouldn't be doing it, like now, I'm supposed to be preparing for GCSEs, but instead, I'm in FL, wasting time, procrastinating
Thanks man!oprs wrote:best saidhutyluty wrote:because its fun
plus your track polis, is one of the best songs ive heard this year.
I used to think this and its fun/good for the creative tweaking parts, but when it comes to the not so creative ("okay now i need to clean up the mid section, add eqs and tidy stuff up") part i find it a hinderance. Also i think i screw up more projects with over-tweakin when im buzzin and there is nothing worse then going to bed high with the thought, shit that track is so good, that riff is aweseome,,, then waking up the next day and going ....wow thats bad... did i really think that was good? maybe it was a diffrent track.... no its this one... wow its bad....Redderious wrote:For real?? I'm always to lazy and distracted to make anything, end up watching films, which is why I rarely use these daysRedderious wrote:For real?? Really helps me get into my music better too
you know that might just be true. All the real precise work just seems to drag on and on when i got that thc in my blood. But its a neccesity when im starting something up from scratch. That's where that little extra motivation and creativity is needed for me! Maybe this explains what was wrong with my latest track? There literally was not a second where i worked on this tune with a completely sober mind set.Fbac wrote:I used to think this and its fun/good for the creative tweaking parts, but when it comes to the not so creative ("okay now i need to clean up the mid section, add eqs and tidy stuff up") part i find it a hinderance. Do love havin a smoke and listening to my own tunes! +D there like sooooo awesome man...
=] i always saw it as an endless openended videogame, its fun, and am motivated by my past achievements and love for electronic music.
I also only listen to my own tracks on my mp3 player!! anyone else do this? (sometimes il have a mix on there or a commercial album to hear whats going on outside of my own music but mostly i like to listen to my own tracks,, that idea that its changable that i can go home and take that section out, excites and motivates me more)
if the feeling goes away beyond recall then its not strong enough to write a song off i dont think. Think about some time you were really feeling something deeply is my advicehowiegroove wrote:I am curious. Say something happens in my life that inspires me. Lets say that I fell in love (just to be generic), how do you put those thoughts and feelings and convert them to music. Also, what if this feeling goes away? I dunno... just some thoughts.
i've always wanted to write a tune that explained a story. Like an adventure of some sorts, where the feel of the song is constantly evolving to new levels that describe events? If anyone has done this before i'd really like to check out your track!hutyluty wrote:if the feeling goes away beyond recall then its not strong enough to write a song off i dont think.
