Selected Ambient Works 85-92 is far better - Xtal and We are the music makers has some good use of bass.

Still waiting for Dubstep Allstars 3 vol3....
Got Pinch, Qawwali today though. top

really actually surprisingly good. some new productions and rhymes on there from other atoms fam ppl sound quite good too. dunno whether to be excited or sceptical about their proper comeback lp.

I loved the original (I remember me and blackdown on holiday about - oooh - 4-5 years ago? - listening to Cold Vein and In Fine Style non stop for a week), as well as El-P's stuff and Atoms etc, but it was a bit of a time and a place, not sure if thats where my head's at now.

Pinch - Qawwali (which makes my head feel better, so that I can stick Vex'd on again)

two completely different albums despite what the titles may suggest. they're both utterly incredible imo though 2 might take you a bit longer to get your head around.

anyway, for what its worth:

the bug 'killing sound' 2LP
vex'd 'bombardment...' 12" (standard)
autechre 'garbage ep' 12"
upsetters '14 blackboard jungle dub' 2LP
pinch 'qawalli' 12" (standard)
talking heads 'remain in light' cd
shabba ranks 'tingaling' 7"

and last but not least... DMZ007 12"
