and then I just execute and fill in the blanks
Damn that got to be hard :/
But I guess it gets easier and easier the more you learn about your DAW and synthesis and such huh?
it's not easy, and it never comes out exactly right
but a close aproximation is good enough for me

this
i kinda go through the same mindest
not enough time in the day even with changing myself to an odd sleep pattern which allows me proper rem and being awake more
even humming shit into the cell phone memo bits and all the other methods so i can semi plan or get it all out tend to never fall into place proper when you have that time in front of the daw
but when it does work and you have that session that just gels, it's ecstasy

this all over, and i kinda like it that way.
if you're spending 4/5 hours every day on your DAW - yeah you're going to learn, but yeah you're going to start getting fed up.
I fortunately/unfortunately have a job spending all day ona computer, so by the time i get home i just wanna eat dinner, put my feet up and do fuck all.
So I like to prioritize friday night, saturday morning, sunday evening as my production days.
then if im feeling inspired maybe once/twice midweek.

Good thread.
I have a problem stopping myself from working as well. I'll get something going that sounds really cool to my ears and then like clockwork I find myself quitting Ableton because I feel relatively satisfied and too lazy to figure out what the next step should be. I tell myself that I'll come back to it later with a fresh idea when I should probably just keep it up while I have my mojo werkin'.
