yeh you DID hit a nerve because i doubt any of us have met more than 1 american, max, who HASN'T had your attitude about uk hip hop.
you've got more talent in your jails than our whole country? have you checked how small we are? mile for mile i'd metaphorically say we've got more talent in our little finger than you've got in your whole body. don't take that as an insult cos it's not meant as one, just think about it. our world influence, not just in terms of music, considering our size is immense.
personal opinion: our hip hop beats are better than yours and i prefer our MCs (and i'm NOT talking about grime). but that makes sense... people listen to what's familiar in theme and sentiment.
