hate it when, in a situation like this, some asshole is always saying something like "i don't think celebrities are special, what about [insert other suffering people here]?" - for fuck's sake, no one has forgotten about the starving children in Africa, we're just talking about a musician who has died, whose music some of us liked. fuck off.

She's a human being for fuck sake. I'm not asking you to feel sorry for her and cry but at least give her a bit of respect. She did a lot of stuff that a huge amount of people really enjoyed. It is a genuine loss to her fans and people who appreciated her music. sickens me how news channels have this ahead of Norway, and yesterday no one says anything about what happened there, yet now everyone is talking about this and everyone seems to be her biggest fan, R.I.P. and all that but people really do need to get their fucking priorities straight

How is it a loss if she's not done anything good or worthwhile for years and has been turning up too drunk to perform constantly and letting her fans down herself? Why does she even deserve respect?
