Because I don't own FL studio to run a comparative test, could you please post here a source (aif or wav please), and the same file processed with SoundGoodizer.
Then I will add the file processed by MaximalSound. So, everybody can forge his own advice. This will be much better than"I heard SoundGoodizer is the best thing to master with"...

ah right, i guess this does work then and it can be a useful service to just get the music louder mainly.
only thing id like to hear is how far the levels can be pushed up without sounding crap. it is good idea you have here though, getting the music loud without losing the natural dynamics & quality.

That's not only a loudness question. Both tonal balance and stereo width are adjusted as well.

il gladly admit i was wrong for being sceptical, iv just watched all your youtube videos and i found the multiband de-expander to be very impressive! even when i put the volume down when listening to each processed clip in the comparisons (just so i didn't get overwhelmed by the volume increase) it treated all frequencies really well and gave a lot more life & realism to the entire song as a whole. this is a really clever tool and il be happy to use it in future! will test it on my new song when i complete it

I tried it with 3 tracks I am currently working on, exported some loops, uploaded them to try out how they will sound.
And I must say I am pretty much blown away!

All 3 mixes came out between 8.5 - 9.3 average rms (checked with audacity on one 4 bar cycle)
to be honest I am not sure if thats a good or a bad sign!

Everything sounds indeed a bit more balanced, my mixes are bass heavier, but not much in comparison.
the punch ist still there but more clear.
I cant test this on a big system at the moment, but over good headphones there definately is an improvement.
when checking over macbook speakers the mastered file sounds like if I run the output on the master fader in the red at max, but without any distortion artifacts.

this was a great way to get a good comparison how my mixes wold sound with just the extra dB. I would love to pump up a shitty old mix just to see how good/bad that turns out.

I think youve got a new customer as soon as I finish the tunes as whole mixes!

btw, after relistening after a few hours I found out, that the testmasters are louder then everything I got in itunes...except some flying lotus tunes which seem to be at the same volume.
I opened one of the projects and found out that there was a compressor on my masterbus which reduced only about 1-2 dB and my file peaked at around -0.5 dB. Which is not what every ME tells you to do

what would you suggest how "hot" to export the wav/aiff file to be mastered?
headroom how much?
limiting / compression etc. how does it affect the algorythm?

The best results are from mixes which have a large dynamic range. For 16 bits files, everything peaking between -6 and -3 dB is OK. For 24 bits files anything between -3 and -18 dB is perfect. But that's for the peak level. If your mix is already compressed with a dynamic range (difference between the maximum peak and the RMS value) as low as 10 dB, the mastering won't have enough room to work at its best.
If you want to be very loud, compressing your mix buss by 1 or 2 dB is a possible solution. The best results usually come from mixes with 20 to 14 dB of dynamic range peaking as mentioned above.
The free preview system on the MaximalSound site allows you to run many tests until you reach the sweet spot.

my mixes peak without the comp around -20 to -13 dB, which seems ideal for another test round.

but good to know that hunting that overcompressed FlyLo sound is possible too!

what are good average rms values as a result? (just for loudness)

I tried this out and I found that just elephant cranked up on my master channel sounded better. Might just be my mixing maybe..
I found that this seemed to squash the midrange bass a lot.
