in response to the question about Deep Space and paying our guest dj's....
Deep Space is independent of Cielo. Yes, of course we pay our guest dj's. The only way we make our money is by charging admission at the door.
Deep Space prefers to be independent so that we can have total artistic freedom. Cielo has been great in trusting us with our artistic adventures. Over our 8 year history we've really been able to book a lot of amazing, emerging artists who deserve some attention from the music heads that like to come out to our party.

Right now Pearson Sound's set is schedule for 10 pm - 11:30 or midnight. Then Francois will play after that. The party will go until at least 3:45 am.

That's actually good news haha! I like hearing that you pay the artists. I'm a drummer that plays a number of genres and gis and you all would be surprised at how little, if anything at all bands get payed to play in a modern rock or pop club. Even some that are a bit bigger in size won't pay you. I won't mention names but there are a few popular rock clubs that not only don't pay you, but expect a percentage of you march sales... even a few that expect payment from the band if they want to play.

Now, if only I can get on a set drumming with an artist at your club!

You gotta think outside the booth! Haha its ok. Thanks for checking out my sig. Tho! Yea I like to think of it as extra DJ equipment vs " live music" for that reason. I don't want clubs to say no live music thinking I would show up with drums, microphones, and a guitarist or something haha. It's like 4 or 5 midi pads that are connected to a sampler running out of the DJs main line..it would def. be outside the booth tho.
