you make good points, and maybe I wasn't making myself clear on mine. the point was that there are people here willing to put in some decent effort to make something for the community (if someone wanted an actual logo as you described, someone would be kind enough to do it). I know some of the things posted in that thread aren't great but they took more than five minutes to do and weren't done in ms paint.
