Awkward.
I've done that but slightly differently. I bounced with the sub solo'd, so all we got in the car was 4 minutes of sub lol

retrospectively making this mistake teaches you a incredibly important lesson, your ears can trick you.

Construct a track, mix the track and polish it, put it online for download, put it on iPod, put in headphones, listen to track, realize sub is panned hard left.

i once finished a track and tried to perfect it at the last minute before i went out, i quickly used goldwave to cut a second of silence right at the start (however i somehow only selected the left channel as i deleted it) and when i played it to my friend with my earphones he was like WTF!!!! because the whole tune has a whole second delay on the right side.. so it just sounded like a lot of confused BS :o the tune sounded so shit and hilarious, it made me dizzy hearing it!

[In FL Studio] Was bouncing out a bass track, but accidently included a random hihat part too (it wasn't assigned to a mixer channel, so wasn't muted when I only selected the bass track in the mixer). When I listened to that hi-hat part in the middle of the track, it just randomly flanged and I was sooo confused. Realized it a few days later.

Trying to figure out why I couldn't get any audio out of Live when iTunes or youtube were open. I had only been producing for like a month, so it confused the hell out of me. It took me like 2 reinstalls before I finally googled it and realized the problem

i always feel extremely dumb when i bus a sound to 3-4 different channels, frequency split them and tweak each so its "perfect" and realize i forgot to set the original channel's output to none when im done...

i always feel like i overdo shit when i do that

soloing one sound so i can tweak the effects, spend 20 mins on it and then when the sound doesn't seem to be changing, realising i have been tweaking a muted track instead. happens all the time.

same here. sometimes I do slight eqing on a track I've muted thinking I'm eqing another track I'm working on and while I'm doing that I actually feel like I'm improving the sound

In fl, whenever i started payback from the beginning, like 15 different vocal samples of this stupid bitch singing were going off all together, i muted all my mixer tracks,, still playing, muted individual channels but realized i couldnt do that cause i used the samples later in the track, sat for a hour wondering what the fuck was going on, FINALY, for some dumb reason, i found that i put those audio clips on pattern 99 in the playlist all the was at the bottom. the song i was working on only had about 6 patterns at the time. to this day i have no idea why i put them down there.

After a large amount of Jack Daniels and Tequila I got out my mic and recorded this last easter, definitely one of my more embarrassing efforts:

Adding an effect and then getting pissed off because it`s a shit effect.
I mean come-on, this effect did nothing.
add a new effect only to pissed that it too is a crappy effect that does nothing.

Oh, wrong channel. DOH!!

Hahahahahahahaha you must have been totally bewildered mate. I can only imagine the totally confused state you must have been in whilst this was happening, and the total self loathing you felt when you noticed the mistake.....

This is my favourite one yet
