Yeap it's been totally ruined. No bassweight anymore, very low overall volume level. If I want to hear people speak I will stay out of the dance floor area cheers. Can't really believe this has happened, such a let down to the point its hardly worth getting excited about going to FWD anymore. When I saw younx a few weeks ago the first thing toast said was "we have no control over the levels of the system" people later started shouting out "turn it up". Felt really sorry for toast you could see everyone was gutted about the situation. We all left early out of protest and sheer anger.

all aint lost tho...

Confirmed by plastician on FB that it has moved to the nest this week because of sound issues. One can only assume that they are trying to sort it out in that time, sure we can afford to be patient with a place that has given us so many big nights over the years, shame for anyone who turned up on affected nights and didnt get the full experience but there was a brand new refit, shit happens, they will get there in the end

yeh i fully believe they'll get there eventually - owner knows and loves sound and i assume has been working hard to resolve these things as soon as possible. never comes easy with the technicals! for me, just isn't worth the time or money to go in the meanwhile, though... you know it's bad when you can't enjoy a set from yunx.

I'm with you guys, I have hope that these issues will be sorted out in the future. Too many people are not prepared to see the best night and probably club, go down the pan. Hold tight fingers crossed, bring back the bass weight!

FWD>> are just the promoters, and they're affected the same as every other promoter who puts on a dance there.

Clearly they're not willing to put up with the low quality of the new sound system, so to preserve the integrity of the dance they've switched up venue for the week.

The fuck up is fully down to Plastic People who own and operate the club, and they need to rectify it quick. It's like Coca-Cola bringing out New Coke — simply no need to fuck with the formula

Haven't heard the state of the PP system but the sound system they had in The Nest was shite!

I've just moved to LDN and I was fully buzzing about finally being part of FWD. But yeah... The system was a joke, you could hold a proper conversation on the dancefloor without screaming in the other persons ear. Had to stand right next to the speaker at the front for Oneman, pretty much kept my head in the DJ booth hahaha. Was a sick night still, but... yeah, shame about the system, they have to keep to restrictions now don't they? wasn't the volume one of the reasons it closed for a while? That and drugs i presume?

That is a good point, it's plastic people who need to make the changes, nothing to do with FWD>>. I wondered how other nights have gone down after the changes.

Big up Etches828, I'm a fan of your tunes. My mate stuck his head in the booth and said it was louder in the booth than the floor haha. Congrats on your move to London. Hope you meet you in plastic when it's restored to its former glory.

Skream confirmed he's doing an 04-06 set on his facebook last week, Coki on the line-up too, would be a siiick night

That Chestplate night, if they truly have sorted the sound, will be legendary.

definitely gonna be hittin this. do people reckon with the draw of some old dubs + coki that it'll pack out really quickly? considering getting there really early just to make sure...
