sigh... brostep is not a genre. Its just a word used to easily label a particular style of dubstep. Yes, it is all (mostly) dubstep, but its 'bro' dubstep
This entirely... Its like... bassline garage isnt garage and garage isnt bassline but they share a common ground and co-exist well with each other.Maccaveli wrote:sigh... brostep is not a genre. Can't say I compleeeeetely agree, but I did just read something which is pretty supportive evidence. A comment on a 'bro' track stating that - 'digital mystikz and cyrus n shit are old step'. OLDSTEP!?Viineri wrote:Oh come on... It's common knowledge that the more there are comments describing how 'filthy' the track is, the more it's brostep. You must know this, right?bSQUARED08 wrote:So wait a sec... You're saying that because the dumbest people on the internet say it's brostep... that it is, indeed, brostep?Viineri wrote:You can tell it's brostep by stupid youtube comments...![]()
I'd put most of Datsik's stuff under the 'brostep' category, but I don't think you can categorize someone's production so narrowly unless you've heard all of it. Too many closed-minded fucks dropping opinions as law...

Can I get this on a blanket?Electric_Head wrote:dubstep is such a large blanket term
if you could put a 320 of that design on an apron that would be awesomeElectric_Head wrote:I`l do you one better

Can the design be etched onto a printer, that I could use to put designs onto various household objects (e.g. printers)?particle-jim wrote:if you could put a 320 of that design on an apron that would be awesomeElectric_Head wrote:I`l do you one better

This. I too like some Datsik, but him and the rest of Rottun are the definition of bro.Maccaveli wrote:Well what is your argument that it isn't brostep?
To be clear, I actually like quite a few Datsik tracks. IMO, Jenova Project, Galvanise and Swagga are amazing, but him and Excision are pretty much the epitome of brostep
