sigh... brostep is not a genre. Its just a word used to easily label a particular style of dubstep. Yes, it is all (mostly) dubstep, but its 'bro' dubstep

This entirely... Its like... bassline garage isnt garage and garage isnt bassline but they share a common ground and co-exist well with each other.

OP... Alot of the kids at raves are completely ignorant to the roots of dubstep, so I wouldnt run with what they call dubstep being anytihng like the o.g. sound.

Check out Loefah - Mud/Ruffage (DMZ009), and Pinch - MidnightOil/Joyride... really two plates that summarize what dubstep is about imo.

Then after you do, immediately put on one of the tracks from your list... the difference between dubstep and brostep will be incredibly evident.

Also though, dont worry about the words dub/bro... Its all music, and you should find your own little realm/vibe to get into, all of us have different tastes, what makes EDM so interesting.

So wait a sec... You're saying that because the dumbest people on the internet say it's brostep... that it is, indeed, brostep?

I'd put most of Datsik's stuff under the 'brostep' category, but I don't think you can categorize someone's production so narrowly unless you've heard all of it. Too many closed-minded fucks dropping opinions as law...
Oh come on... It's common knowledge that the more there are comments describing how 'filthy' the track is, the more it's brostep. You must know this, right?
Can't say I compleeeeetely agree, but I did just read something which is pretty supportive evidence. A comment on a 'bro' track stating that - 'digital mystikz and cyrus n shit are old step'. OLDSTEP!? :u: :u: :u:

You wouldn't see someone commenting something as moronic as that underneath a Digital Mystikz track, that's for sure.

Can the design be etched onto a printer, that I could use to put designs onto various household objects (e.g. printers)?

Maccaveli wrote:Well what is your argument that it isn't brostep?

To be clear, I actually like quite a few Datsik tracks. IMO, Jenova Project, Galvanise and Swagga are amazing, but him and Excision are pretty much the epitome of brostep
This. I too like some Datsik, but him and the rest of Rottun are the definition of bro.
