Reaching this for the first time in a couple of years. Do they still hand out earplugs?

one of the best Dmz's to date for me. Stood in there for about 5 solid hours appreciating everything. Mala / Coki / Loefah all going b2b2b for 2 hours was something else and then for yunx to smash it up for the next hour. Out to the organisers once again.

More or less exactly how I feel. Youngsta killed it with Swish (Distance Remix). Met a few people from DSF there as well - nice to see you all (hey Steven).

Superb night all round. Even though he was on quite early, I thought Jay 5ive was simply immense. He played a couple of tunes where the bassline soared into the horizon and just never came back. Solid mixing. Author doing their live thing was brilliant too. There's always room for error with live performances but that one was flawless. Youngsta, D Bridge and Loxy were quality as well.

Does anyone know who the MC was who was performing alongside D Bridge? He was talking about copying stuff from radio to cassette, back in the day...TDK. Very good flow.

From what i saw on twitter it was SP:MC but he was supposed to be hosting for Yunx too but Yunx's set changed didnt it? and LX One hosted for Yunx.

No worries mate. Yeh the night was epic. dmz Leeds just seems to out-do itself every time! The b2b2b was a bit special wasn't it? I've never seen them all go back2back before. Usually get 45min of Loef and then Mala/Coki for the remainder. Nuff respect for Loef for spinning the deeper sounds. Seems he's been doing that recently when its been apart of a dmz night. The selection was insane hearing all sorts of stuff...There was the dmz classics and then tracks like 'What you call it?' and 'Hyph Mngo' went off! ha. Youngsta smashed it after as well. So glad they changed his set time to later.

Totally agreed. Considering Leeds is relatively far north from London, the lineups they manage to put together are truly impressive. DMZ and Loefah were fantastic although I was a bit spannered by that stage. I remember 'Hyph Mngo' though...unexpected yet awesome. And hearing 'Tree Trunk' for the first time on a proper rig was immensely satisfying. Did you catch any of the stuff in room 2 or were you fully committed to the dubstep room?

Reaching the next one? Money permitting. £50 these days for a return ticket from Newcastle to Leeds. Agony, but still probably worth it.

You reached from Newcastle. Fucking hell! Huge respect. Not jealous of that return train journey at like what 6:00am? I stumbled into Room 2 a bit but only went in properly after Youngsta until the end. Next one's in Feb i think. Good couple of months to get saving :D

Haha. That would have been horrific. I've got a mate who lives down in Leeds, so there was no rush to get home. Only just made it back a couple of hours ago! Yes - will definitely be up for the february bash. Two months to save, no excuses.

Ahh not so bad then mate. Im at HUD uni so im here for the majority events as they kinda coincide with term time. Just hop on the train to leeds for a couple of quid and then hop on it back on the early train home.

You're ideally situated. Half way between Leeds and Manchester. Best of both worlds when it comes to music. West Yorkshire's a cracking place to be too. Good fun in all respects.

Date it the 18th of Feb. Lineup will probably be announced after the SubDub on the 28th of this month maybe a tad later. Can see the 2nd room being another label takeover but who!?

hyped for the next one, the last two labels on the second room have been massive so it's looking hopeful.
