Always hated techno till Helix, a user on here, hit me up on AIM one night, and showed me some of his tunes. I don't listen to A LOT of it, but I'm more open to it.
Fucking loving Blawan atm, that tune Bohla, sexual tension every time

Both genres are better than 96,5% of the dubstep that's out.

Haha sounds like dnb to me with annoying leads. Sounds like Russian dnb, was never was into the Russian sound. But I liked gabba and schranz when I was in my teens, these days I see them as the brostep of the genre. Schranz was always a bit of a pisstake genre anyway, even the name trance/schranz.
here's a couple of good inspirational techno documentaries

I've always really been into the Electro side of Techno like Drexciya and DJ Stingray as Mr. Hyde mentioned.
Some other people that I'm into that haven't been mentioned yet are Rob Hood, Surgeon, John Tejada, and of course some of the Underground Resistance bits by various members.
I am also really into a style I call Deep Broken Techno.

If we're gonna get into Electro, gotta mention Legowelt and Bunker Records! Unit Moebius too. So many classics on Bunker.

This is what I meant in my first post in this thread
Soundcloud
Helix is sick. He had a lot of other stuff on there in the past, most of which is being picked up, might be worth checking his tune "Stacks Riddim"
