so before in the dream i cant remember but i remember im watching a documentary with tony robinson presenting and hes talking about the sun and sunflowers and a break down of the latins meaning or something and he talks about sun breath being a gift from god within science...and says happy breathing is a breakdown of something or other word wise...and then im walking on the pavement and see the smoking plane really small in the sky

total babbling gibberish i know but just wanted to share this horrendously vivid dream

I have had this type of dream before! ridiculously vivid when the plane flys over and crashes, can feel the explosion in your chest its that powerful! i was sat in a football stadium on top of a tall building, like in japan or something, not a massive stadium or anything, it only covered 2 out of the 4 sides of the pitch and was about 15 rows deep. then this plane flew over and someone started screaming in the crowd and everyone just watched helpless as this plane crashed.

proper emotional dream, woke up slightly shook up but no matter how i describe it, it just doesn't sound as emotional as it was.

this was about a month ago now, stuck with me since

Don't ever take Effexor (anti-depressant). I literally quit that drug specifically because of the dreams. You'd wake up every night soaking wet (in sweat) praying to God not to go back to sleep, and doing everything you could to stay awake. Once I slept with the Bible next to me I was so mortified. That's a wicked drug. Lucid doesn't begin to describe the dream intenstity. It's basically Real Life, complete with pain & stress, then you "wake up" after you've witnessed a bloodbath, a war, death and dismemberment, its basically a horribly bad trip EVERY. NIGHT.

You can google "Effexor Dreams" and you'll see hundreds of reports about it.

Same here, and I'm always getting stabbed or impaling a limb.

I have the opposite to this a lot, I'll be fighting someone and i'll just pick them up and they don't weigh anything, and i'll throw them round the room, smashing them into the walls then the floor over and over, but no blood or anything, it's more like rubber limbs cartoon fighting. Have these like once a month or so.

It's strange because i'm not a confident person. Maybe suppressed anger or something.

maybe!?!?

i tend to find with dreams if you think its about that it probably is... or the point you thought it was about is probably worth considering in its own right

there's a reason thought pop into your head when you try and work this stuff out

haha yeah i had never really thought about it in any depth but writing that out just then it makes perfect sense.

One last night: tsunamis hitting the house me and the gf live in, she's just wandering round the house carrying on as normal, talking on the phone, doing the washing up etc, while i run around throwing clothes and food in a bag screaming "WE HAVE TO LEAVE NOW LOOK OUTSIDE WE HAVE TO GO LOOK AT THE FUCKING WAVES LETS GO".

You guys think nightmares are bad, anyone get night terrors?
I have to read before I go to sleep, and not watch anything right before bed (i think the visuals stimulate my brain or something silly). Really fucking terrible, I wouldn't wish them on anyone. Used to be scared of going to sleep. Don't think I ever really had them when I was a kid either, they didn't start til I was about 19-20.
and my ex didn't like me waking her up at 3am screaming at the top of my lungs much

i have had a hypnopompic hallucination before where I have woken up at around 2 or 3am sweating to only turn over and see the girl from the ring staring at me below my bunk bed only a few yards away(far enough to be completely terrified) i couldn't believe it i was in terror and couldn't stop shaking i slowly attempted to pinch myself only to come to the conclusion that it wasn't a dream (also i was in 9th grade, never took any prescription/illicit drugs including sleeping pills etc) took about 30 minutes to go back to sleep i immediately shut my eyes and didn't even consider opening them again.

this used to happen to me all through my childhood. constantly for years, exactly as you described. never figured out what it was from / meant. used to get sucked into the basement too, toward the furnace and sound of scream would go up to 11, suddenly I'd wake up
this has happened to me as well. had one in my current house in all black and white, i was walking down my hall way towards my garage then i turned to look into my sisters room which is right next to mine and i see a doll just sitting directly in the center of the room staring at me. i was puzzled then all of a sudden the screams/visuals come i turn around attempting to run but only to get vigorously pulled in by something unknown, woke up with chills it felt so realistic. pretty terrifying

edit: sorry for the double post.

I've had a plane crash dream before but it was really wierdly spliced together. Firstly, there was me and 3 mates cycling back into our village when a plane flew really, really low overhead. We could see all the nuts and bolts that held the thing together it was that intense. Fade to black. Dream continues, we're in the school playground which is empty (I presume it was the weekend) but for some reason there was children in the nursery - located at the bottom end of the playground. We're just cycling around in circles and whatever when I catch a bi-plane in my eye, facing us. It starts swerving gently then gets gradually lower and lower then ploughs through the nursery and exploding :o

Need to see what Freud makes of these plane crashes

HAHAHAHA

Airplane Crash
"To dream that a plane crashes signifies that you have set overly high and unrealistic goals for yourself. You are in danger of having those goals come crashing down. Alternatively, the crashing airplane represents your lack of confidence, self-defeating attitude and self-doubt. You do not believe in your own ability to achieve those goals. Loss of power and uncertainty in achieving your goals are also signified."

What else ....

Sunflower
"To see a sunflower in your dream symbolizes warmth, abundance, longevity, and prosperity. The sunflower also serves to point you in the right direction and is a source of spiritual guidance. Even through difficult times, you will persevere. Alternatively, the sunflower denotes haughtiness. You may be deceived by the false appearance of someone."

I have these weird vivid dreams these days, and I swear, I want to make a book out of them they're that good.... and then I go back to sleep and forget them.
