Dubstep isn't the new metal. The aggressive stuff id just a fad that will be gone in 3 years. Whereas METAL WILL NEVER DIE

that was a very bizarre read.
glad there are people like jonathan davis and sonny moore to fill out dubstep's public image with raw masculinity.

The last time I went to a Korn show they announced a super exclusive never heard of Jonathan Davis DJ set at an after party with music that was never heard of here in my city (Guadalajara, Mexico). I went there and payed a pricey entrance fee hoping to hear some killer dubstep, breakcore and drum & bass (because thats the type of music you dont normally hear in my city and the type of electronic music you would expect to hear from someone like him), just to see him play reggaeton and shitty club music back to back with a guy that thought he was Jesus Christ.
I lost all respect for him as an artist, it also looked like he was a real noob while mixing or he was checking his emails...

Of course...I could be totally wrong. Could you recommend me a few songs that sound like:
Remember, question here is not whether you think it is good or not. But whether they are innovating at all from a musical standpoint, pushing the envelope slightly etc
Look forward to what you come up with.

1. Open two youtube windows in your browser.
2. Load up a random brostep tune in one, load up a random Korn tune in the other.
3. Press play on both.
Voila, depending on the tunes used you may even end up with a better result than those horrible aural abominations.

ah yes, the very new innovative art of combining "synthesizers" and "rock" music. very interesting to say the least
