and yeah, apparently this darker heavier stuff is the Neurofunk as opposed to the liquid Netsky/Shogun stuff

liquid was a term coined by fabio. his label creative source reflects that sound.

http://www.discogs.com/Fabio-Liquid-Funk/release/14606 conversations came about in regards to fabio using the term liquid as a way to describe the sound. from then on, anything with that deeper, funk, disco, detroit, jazz sort of sound was seen as liquid.
